The Limers Association started out as a few friends and family coming together to plan an annual summer barbecue. The focus of the group was to form a foundation for the upcoming generation; one that builds on the principles of unity, collectiveness and a shared responsibility through investing in our future. Since this time, the group has evolved into an organized body of people who pride themselves in enjoying family fellowship with one another while recognizing the needs within the community. In recent years, Limers Association focused on giving back to the community through various initiatives. Members decided to formalize their structure in order
to further their work in supporting various causes such as community development, youth investment and education.
The activities of the Limers Association include organizing the popular Parangfest in the West during the holiday season and the Big Hats and High Tea Social held annually in the Spring.
